Shipping policy

Most products will ship within 24 hours Monday-Friday. Large quantities of painted steel coils, flat sheet, downspout, and/or gutter may take up to 2-3 business days in order to be properly packaged and scheduled for freight pick-up. 

Expected delivery date will be shown during check-out. Tracking numbers will be automatically sent to you as soon as they are assigned. You can check on your order's status and order history by clicking the account icon (looks like a person) located in the top right corner.

For longer form-factor items (like pre-fabbed downspout and gutter), freight is calculated by tiered flat rates, based on weight, due to specialty packing and shipping methods needed for these products.

Other Delivery Options:

  • Local pick-up: Avoid shipping costs and get what you need ASAP. Local pick-up is available at all Schafer Metals locations for all in-stock products.
  • Custom LTL/Freight: We will discover freight shipping quotes on larger orders. For example, if you are ordering 15+ rolls of underlayment, we can often manually reach out to local carriers and discover more economical shipping rates than what gets automatically calculated by UPS at checkout.
  • Schafer's Weekly Colorado Truck Routes: Whether you're looking for a one-time delivery or way to have your company's building materials replenished on a weekly basis, Schafer Metals' in-house delivery service has you covered. On a week basis, our truck fleet services the Denver-Metro Area, I-70 Corridor, Winter Park / Granby / Steamboat, and Glenwood Springs / Basalt / Aspen. Call 303-733-2303 to be added to the route.
  • On-Site Chop & Drop Services: We will bring your ordered material and our forming machines directly to your project's site. Our experienced fabrication team, will run all your standing seam panels and gutters on-site.
