Refund policy

Items ordered from scmetals.com may be returned within 30 days of their delivery acceptance (unless otherwise noted during purchase). All returns must be approved. If the correct items were shipped and accepted as undamaged the customer may be responsible for a 20% re-stocking fee and/or the return shipment.

     

    RETURN FREIGHT / RESTOCKING FEES

    If items are damaged or defective upon receipt, or the incorrect items were shipped, the customer will not be charged a restocking or return freight fee. If items are returned at the customer's discretion, the customer will be responsible for return freight and/or subject to a 20% restocking fee.     DAMAGES AND ISSUES

    Please inspect your order upon reception. Contact us immediately if any of the items are defective, damaged, or the wrong item so that we are able to evaluate the issue and make it right. If receiving material via freight, you must inspect for damage before signing the BOL and make a note of any damage found on the BOL.

     

    EXCEPTIONS / NON-RETURNABLE ITEMS

    Heat cable and heat cable accessories are non-returnable. Copper products are non-returnable unless they are in new condition.

     

    REFUND PROCESS

    • Send return requests to websales@scmetals.com within 30 days of the product's delivery acceptance.
      • Please include the order #, the items and quantity you'd like to return, and the reason for their return.
    • We will let you know when we have received your request and have started processing it.
    • Within 1-3 business days, we let you know if the refund was approved or not.
    • If approved, follow the instructions in the email. Once we have received the returned product, your original payment method will be automatically refunded (less any restocking fee). Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
